DMAD Portfolio Scholarship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Interested students should register for a Portfolio Day at this link: https:\/\/www.king.edu\/events\/audition-portfolio-days\/<\/a> or send a portfolio of your work to Prof. Joe Strickland<\/a>, the chair of the DMAD program. Contact the Admissions Office at 800.362.0014 for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In your portfolio, please include between 10 – 20 works that showcase your personality and ability. Powerpoint is generally recommended to create a digital version of your portfolio. The scholarship amount<\/strong> is contingent on portfolio quality but ranges from $1,000 – $2,500. Only traditional students are eligible<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you a visual artist who is looking to the future to see where your passion can take you? Then the Digital Media Art & Design (DMAD) program might just be right for you. This degree prepares students to enter the quickly expanding field of digital media by concentrating on calling while learning both the technical and conceptual skills needed by today\u2019s artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The degree focuses specifically on how visual media such as digital photography, videography, and graphic design are used to promote ideas in the contemporary world of visual language and media communication. Understanding the technical and conceptual processes to produce captivating and affective imagery allows students to enter the job market through a variety of positions according to the strengths of the individual. The DMAD program teaches students to effectively communicate through visual language to an audience that is adept at viewing and understanding visual messaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All seasoned artists know that it takes more than just our skills as creators to make it in today\u2019s market. That is why the DMAD program includes a dedicated business course in the curriculum. More such tools are also incorporated into other courses to further bolster the DMAD graduate\u2019s business acumen. If you want to create as an independent artist, work at a marketing firm, or become a creative entrepreneur the knowledge that you\u2019ll gain in this program will help to get you there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
