Sign of the George Christmas Cards go on sale today! Each card is 5×7 inches and comes with an envelope for mailing. There are five cards to choose from. Each one showcases a design from blocks pulled from the archives in the type room. The hand-pressed cards come in packs of 5 for $7, 10 for $12, and 20 for $20. The cards can be ordered online at www.tornadoalleyshoppe.com or in person at the campus bookstore. Orders can be made today through December 3rd. Proceeds from sales will go to the renovation of the Sign of the George Press & Gallery space.
The cards are printed by students under the tutelage of David Winship, son of George “Pat” Winship, who began the press in the mid-1970’s at King. For more information on the Sign of the George, click here.
